As part of the independent evaluation, the research team conducted focus groups with young people. These groups included young people who: had previously been involved in the programme; were currently involved in the programme; and were about to be involved in the programme. Here are some quotes that the young people recorded during the focus groups on their thoughts about Stand Up!
After hearing some of the raps that young people had written in the Stand Up! Programme, representatives from the schools, CMDHB, Odyssey House, and Resonance Research wanted to offer their thanks to the young people. Continuing with the spirit of Stand Up! where everyone (professionals included) learns new skills, and modeling how the practitioners communicate with young people in youth-friendly ways, representatives from each organization wrote and recorded a rap with their messages to young people.
